Business Insurance

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
What do I need to get a quote for my business?
A.
Gather your existing policies and give us a call at 262-781-4750, or contact us via the web or e-mail. We would be happy to come right over to your office to gather the information, or we can ask you questions over the phone or e-mail. The best approach is to get a loss run for your business in order to demonstrate your good (or perfect!) track record, as this becomes our best negotiating tool on your behalf.

Q.
What kinds of business insurance do you sell?
A.
Most clients have a policy known as a BOP or Businessowners policy (covering property and liability and equipment), and they add business auto, workers comp, and an umbrella policy as needed. There are other types of policies (such as bonds) that can be added to complete your program.

Q.
Do you think I will save money?
A.
If you have a good track record and you have been with the same agent and company for a long time, you are almost certain to save money! You can have better coverage for a lower price. We will show you every conceivable way to reduce your premium. Regardless of money, you are certain to benefit from the free review, honest advice, and low-pressure approach.

Q.
Do you have a specialty?
A.
YES! We call it “Main Street” business. This consists of offices such as doctors, lawyers, accountants, financial companies, and computer people. We also help small contractors such as carpenters, painters, plumbers, and landscapers—whether a one man company or a business with a crew. We also work with any type of retail or service business that you might find in a strip mall. We serve wholesale businesses with a warehouse. Finally, we have programs for the auto repair or accessory business.

Q.
Do I have to wait for my renewal date?
A.
Probably not—unless you like your renewal date and you want to preserve your policy cycle. Otherwise, there is nothing to prevent you from switching early, especially if you can save money and get a more sensible renewal date (such as a quarterly date, or the 1st of the month). We suggest that you call us early in the process so that we can give you the best advice regarding timing.
